Communicating with English learners (people with limited English proficiency) can be a challenge in the best of times and may be even more difficult in a time of mask-wearing and physical distancing. 

In this WGC event, Steven Reid of Literacy Volunteers Charlottesville-Albemarle and Debbie Tuler of Adult & Career Education at PVCC will share simple strategies for improving communication with English learners, whether they are your neighbors, workers, co-workers, parents of students, or customers. These will include tips on what to do and pitfalls to avoid. There will also be time for Q&A.
