Humanitarian Suffering

UVA's Muslim Student Association presents an immersive experience to expose the many simultaneous humanitarian crises currently unfolding across the global. 


Visitors will move through a series of stations where they will take on a new identity and learn more about the experience of being forced to flee ones home, the seek shelter, to find ones own way. The journey is dangerous and will cost countless lives. Each stage of the experience will call attention to a current crises including: Sudan, Congo,  the Uyghurs in China, the Rohingya in Myanmar, the children in Palestine. 


This event is free and open to the public. 


Parking is available at the Central Grounds Garage, below the UVA Bookstore.
