President’s Council on UVA

Community Partnerships 5 year Anniversary Community Celebration

President’s Council on UVA

The goal of the President’s Council on UVA-Community Partnerships is to make a positive difference in the lives of people in the region by helping the university effectively engage with community partners to make our communities as strong and as equitable as possible. The Council’s key working groups were launched out of a large community survey conducted in 2019. Thus, the Council will be marking its 5-Year Anniversary in 2024, and as such, seeks to celebrate the work accomplished in the community and at the University since its inception.

This community event will bring together community and university vendors, will feature food and entertainment, and will offer opportunities for folks to learn more about the work of the Council and community organizations, and most of all, celebrate and connect with one another. Time is TBC, but tentatively will take place on Oct. 6 at Washington Park.
